FIVE on Friday

5 on Friday - logo option1

Happy Friday! I am super excited to be participating in another cool link up hosted by: The Good LifeA. Liz AdventuresCarolina Charm, & Hello! Happiness.

I was so excited to come across these super adorable chevron mini Chinese take out containers in the Valentine’s section at JoAnne fabrics. I thought they would be great for Elin to fill with goodies.

Elin had a blast filling the containers up with chocolates for family and friends for Valentine’s Day. Impressively, she even understood when I told her to give each container a mixture of different candies. It’s exciting to get her involved in holiday activity.

We had a snow day on Wednesday where I was able to work from home and it was so wonderful getting to spend some extra time at home with Elin. My commute time alone adds at least an hour and a half to my time away from Elin.

It is hard to get Elin and the dogs (Angel and Fifi) to sit in one place together. I have very few pictures of them in the same frame looking at me. One of them is always a blur on the screen because they all move so fast! I was thrilled to capture this image of them together. Elin thought it was hilarious that that the dogs were sitting in her chair.

I have been blogging for 2 weeks and I have been enjoying it so much and I think this will be a great hobby for me. I am excited to see how this blog grows.

  1. Hi! I love your blog and that is a great idea for your daughter. My son is 16 months and I’m always trying to find new acitivities for him to do. And congrats to 2 weeks of blogging! I’m so glad I found yours.

  2. Happy 2 week blogiversary! I enjoy being able to document my daughter’s life as well. Love your valentine’s day boxes and her helping. Isn’t this age great where they can understand and interact with us now?! I love her owl chair! My daughter has recently become obsessed with owls and would love that chair! 🙂 Happy Friday!

  3. Your blog is great!! I’m fairly new too, have been blogging for about 5 months. It’s fun, right!? Keep it up, I love reading your posts! 🙂

  4. Love those little takeout cartons. I used pastel ones last year as a mini favor/place card holder when we hosted Easter lunch. So fun!

  5. Those takeout containers are so cute, i can’t believe she didn’t eat the chocolate. My nieces would have devoured them. Seriously your puppies are so adorable!!

    • Thank you so much! She does not like chocolates or sweets yet! Whenever I have offered them she refuses! I have a feeling that will change in the near future.

  6. How cute is Elin in her Hunter boots in the snow?! And organizing that candy, I think we have a little Martha Stewart on our hands 🙂

  7. What adorable containers, and great gift idea!
Ha, I thought the pups were stuffed animals at first. You are better at getting a picture than me, I’m not sure I have one that is clear AND all eyes on me.

  8. Oh my gosh, those containers are too cute for words!!!! I hope they have them at the store by me!

  9. Your daughter is adorable. I love those chevron takeout boxes!

  10. Oh my goodness your precious baby girl’s boots are the cutest little things I’ve ever seen! Looks like y’all enjoyed your snow day 🙂

  16. Thanks for the comment – I love your blog! It’s so adorable – and hoping that blogging truly does become something you love! I have been doing it for over 5 years as more of a diary for our family and it’s been such a joy!!
